Spanish Olympic Swimming Controversy

Another controversy from Beijing Olympics, as Spain swimming team have been banned from wearing a swimsuit with embedded waterproof lights which they had hoped would give an extra sparkle to their Olympic routine.

A statement from the Olympics organization commented saying" “This is a very conservative sport … their excuse that is you cannot have accessories on your swimsuit, but they are sewn in. If you use those standards, sequins are a type of accessory.
As you know, that Spanish Olympic basketball team made also controversy for the past days, when an image, showing the players pushing up the outside corners of their eyes, was taken before the team left Spain for Beijing.
Hmm...seems like it's a never ending controversies from the Beijing Olympics.
