I loved seasons 1-4 of One Tree Hill. I feel like the later seasons aren't as good, especially season seven. They play reruns of One Tree Hill on Soap Net. Most weekends they have something called Breakfast in Bed where they show One Tree Hill and Beverly Hills 90210 back to back. Three seasons ago, I got one of my co-workers hooked on One Tree Hill. Since I had my satellite tv installation in North Carolina sometimes my friend comes over to watch the reruns with me on my new setup.
My favorite character on One Tree Hill is Haley. She is funny and smart. I also like that Haley doesn't start as much drama as the other characters. She's a down-to-earth character who watches out for her friends and family. She also gives good advice.
I hated Peyton Sawyer when she was on the show. She was too whiny. I also hated how things always magically worked out for her. She stole Lucas from Brooke twice and then got to keep them both in the end. Brooke continued to be Peyton's friend, and Lucas actually married Peyton! Yuck. I also feel that the show heavily favored Peyton and tried too hard to make us like her. We had to constantly hear about how cool and pretty and great she was. Most storylines revolved around her. It was annoying. Thank God she left Tree Hill.

Simple steps can ensure that your children will have a safe, healthy, and fun time during the summer months. Here are the things you need to know for a safe summer for your kids!
* Preventing sunburn during the summer is one of the biggest concerns for parents. You can help prevent sunburn by limiting the time spent outdoors. When children are outdoors, cover them up with sunglasses and a hat, and always apply sunscreen!
*If your child will ever be left home by themselves, make sure to activate the alarm monitoring service and instruct the children not to answer the door. Your chidren should know safety precautions to take in case of an emergency, including how to call 9-1-1.
*Keep children hydrated by offering plenty to drink, especially while they are outdoors. Water is always the best to quinch your thirst and prevent dehydration, but a sports drink is acceptable on occassion.
*Keep the children cool by dressing them in light-colored clothing that is also lightweight. Shorts are a summer time favorite. Do not layer clothing in the summer, and change sweat saturated shirts as soon as possible.
*When small children are present, install a gate around swimming pools so there not accessible to them. Never allow children to be in the swimming pool alone, not even for a couple of minutes.

Today was my birthday but we celebrated it yesterday with some close friends. I cooked pancit &bihon, asadong baboy and cassava cake for dessert. Everyone brought a dish to pass so the table was full of different dishes. We started eating around 2pm then we had a dance party here in the house. It was very fun. Then we got tired so we decided to go to the beach and enjoy the rest of the day. The temperature was'nt bad so it was right for swimming, not too hot, not too cold.

Today, Thursday, the President sign the unemployment bill into law that allows the restoration of unemployment benefits for people who have been out of work for six months or more. 2 and a half million of people who have been unable to work after the deep recession. I am hoping that these unemployed individuals will be monitored if they are actively looking for jobs and not take advantage the benefits. Because I know many that are not taking jobs if the amount they will get every two weeks is lesser from the unemployment check. I hope the goverment is aware of this.

I would love to be on the show Deal or No Deal. I'd absolutely love to be a contestant but I'd settle for being one of the gorgeous models with the sole job of opening the cases. Either way I think I'd get to be on TV and make far more than I do at my nine to five job now.
I was flipping through the channels I get with my satellite TV packages and it was right in the middle of Deal or No Deal. The guy had an offer of over $200,000 and was debating over it. I love that show because I personally do not have to take the risks these people are taking. I'm such a sucker that I'd take the first offer over $50,000 which usually happens right away. At least I'd be happy with what I walked away with rather than having all that money go down after I opened the big cases.
The guy ended up winning $8,000 and his wife looked pretty upset. That show is absolutely heart breaking but you can't seem to look away. I don't know how the host can give away so much money every day on the show. I know he makes good money but I don't think he can make the million in one day.

One day while I was checking out some books from the library I noticed a flier advertising a jewelry making class. I thought what the heck, I’m retired, I might as well sign up.
So I did and went to the first class with my supplies in a tote bag, ready to make some masterpieces. I sat down, got my supplies out and made some new friends. Once it was time for the class to start I got even more excited. But then after introductions I noticed that I was having trouble hearing the instructor’s directions. I watched what my neighbors did but got behind and needed some help.
I still made a beautiful bracelet that day but as soon as I got home that day I decided to look up some miracle ear locations to see if they could help me hear better. I went to one of them and they shared miracle ear hearing aids prices with me and helped me pick one out.
I’ve been wearing it to my jewelry-making class ever since and my work has been about the same. But I’m having a lot of fun!

So far, it has been a fun summer for us. Unlike last year,we have been going to most get togethers and party of the group. Just last Saturday, July 17 Rick & I had a blast. It was also the first time that I learned to swim. I can't believed it. I was able to fight my fear from swimming on deep waters. I'm so thankful to one of our friends who reassured me that he's going to save me if I sink(lol) I know that sounds silly but that was my biggest fear. Eventhough I grew up near the coast before I came here to America I still don't know how to swim because of fear. And I think I'm the only one of the family and my Dad that don't know how to swim.

President Obama was here in Holland,Michigan yesterday around 1:30pm. And I was one of the luckiest person to see our President despite of all the tight security. My husband was able to take a picture of the President on his way to the Tulip City Airport after visiting the new LG battery plant here in Holland. That was the reason of his visit to promote jobs during the construction of the plant. It is expected to open on 2012 and people here in Holland are looking forward of the new jobs tha can be created .

I know running is inexpensive, a great way to lose weight and one of the best stress-busters around. I wish I have a friend that lives closer to my house so we can run together. I hate running early in the morning by myself since hubby has weak legs and can not run. I just need motivation to keep going on trying to lose weight.

Up is a great animated movie that I recently watched on one of our cable tv special offers channels. Unlike a lot of animated films that I have seen recently, it had a great plot and I never lost interest.
The story is all about Carl Fredricksen, a man who has lived his life wanting adventure but has been to scared to make any changes. When his wife passes away, he decides to attach hundreds of balloons to his house and go in search of a town called Paradise Falls. Unknowingly, a little boy named Russell becomes part of his journey. On the way there they find many obstacles and differences of opinion.
The parts that I found so touching were the scenes where Carl flashed back loving to memories of his late wife. It was moving and made me a little teary eyed at one point.
The story has a great message. You should not live your life in fear of adventure or change. Good things could be around the bend or even bad things. In the end, the journey is the important thing, not necessarily the destination.

When compared to other sources for television, satellite tv from BestChoiceTV.comis by far the leader. Don't listen to those complaining of weather interference. There are other sources for your television that you must call many times to fix the situation, even in good weather. Satellite is installed by experts and you go a longer time between service calls.
Baseball, the perennial summer sport is enjoyable to watch with some refreshments and air-conditioning surrounding you. It is after all the national pastime and I can see why. Sports is more enjoyable when you have a wider choice of sports. Once in a while you want a change of pace from baseball. With this superior system, you can find many other sports to give you a break, before returning to watching baseball.
When based on price and service a Satellite reception system is preferable. After all, no one wants to be interrupted during a game by something not coming through correctly because of an unprofessional setup. This system is for the real sports fan who does not want to miss a minute of the action.

My father and I live in two different countries so one way to celebrate Father's Day with him is by ordering the perfect gift for him online and has the gift shipped to his doorstep. My father has a variety of interest so I realize that the hughes net satellite internet will be a great spot for me to browse for a suitable present.
Since my dad enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and fishing, I searched for websites that sell hiking sticks and fishing equipment. I also looked up books by Kurt Vonnegut on Amazon.com as my father is a big fan of that author. The internet allows me to compare the prices contents of different books easily. Finally, I decided on a collection of unpublished essays on war and peace.
After ordering the book, I felt like it was still not hearty enough as I had not seen my father for more than one year. I then decided to order a custom made t-shirt online, which said, "To My Beloved Father Across the Pacific Ocean."

Perennials can be transplanted all month, keep on top of deadheading duties.
In mild climates, fertilize roses once a month throughout the summer.
Bearded irises should be separated and given a bit more space between now and August, especially if it hasn't been done in the past three to five years. After the last iris blooms fade, stop giving them water. When leaves start turning brown, trim them down to green areas in a two-snip pyramid shape. Dig them up and cut apart their knobby rhizomes. Set them in the shade for a few days to harden off. Replant at the same depth (rhizomes should be approximately level with the ground) in soil that's been amended with processed manure and compost.

It's hot and humid outside and maybe you skipped the sunscreen because you didn’t think you’d be outside for very long, or perhaps you forgot to reapply after a dip in the pool. My husband is one them, he likes to stay outside, doing yardwork shirtless. Earlier today I touched his back and it's red. I asked him if it's burning him because it's red but he said no, so fine. But, he decided to apply sunscreen since he has to finish his yardwork and it's so hot.
According to what I've read. If you forgot to put sunscreen, and to stop the pain , Soak a clean cloth in cool milk and apply it to the burned area for 20 minutes. Make sure you use whole milk; the fat content is what’s soothing. Reapply every two to four hours. To repair the damage of your skin due to sunburn,it is always best to drink plenty of waters from dehydration because it is a serious effect of sunburn.
