I appreciate the guest post, Lindsay Valdez.
I love high school football. My son plays wide receiver at our local high school, and every Friday night is dedicated to watching the team play. I am a member of the booster club and I also run the teams website. We have clear internet through directv phone service, but the school has different provider. The website that I help to maintain has information about the team, coaches, schedule and other related information. One pretty cool idea I came up with was to have alumni and past players register online so the program could keep up with where past players currently are in life. It has been a big success. Almost fifty past players have signed up. There are doctors, lawyers and one ex- NFL who graduate from our local high school who have registered online. I love being a part of the football program. There is a great coaching staff in place, and this is a great community. Our second son is in the sixth grade, so we look forward too many more Friday nights spend at the high school football stadium.

A month ago my husband asked me what I want for Christmas?, I could not think right away. So I just said whatever. What I was trying to say is , whatever I get I'll be happy. Because, in all honesty, I really don't need anything material for Christmas. As long as I have clothes to wear, food to eat and a place to stay, I felt like I have everything I need.
God has been good to us all this time. I was able to bring my Mom here in the US, My sister finished her college last March, and more countless blessings that we received just this past year and I could not ask anything for more. So,all I want for Christmas and not only Christmas but throughout the year and beyond is good health, love and peace to all my love ones and people that I know.
My prayers and wishes to all the victims of typhoon Sendong in Mindanao. I pray that God would give them strength and hope in this time of their life. It's just breaks my heart every time I think of them especially the people who lost their love ones.

For different reasons, thousands of drivers are driving everyday with no car insurance. But driving with no insurance is illegal and the penalties varies by state. But most states you are legally required to have car insurance. Here in Michigan, drivers must carry car insurance at all times. Because if you get pulled over by a police officer you need to provide proof of insurance by that time . Failure to provide at that time can cause your license suspended or even jail time and fees. Other than that, if you are involve in a car accident you need to provide car insurance. And if you don't have one, you will have to pay all the liabilities.
Drivers have to buy car insurance and can choose what company and policy to carry with them. Even with this tough economic times, you can get the basic car insurance policy from Cheap Car Insurance companies. You can get free quotes from different car insurance providers and compare them to avail affordable rates to save you hundreds of dollars a year.

Me and my husband love watching comedy shows especially a Stand Up For Family comedy shows. This kind of shows very entertaining and can be watch by the whole family.
AmFam , an American Family Insurance company features comedy specials hosted by Bill Bellamy which consist of todays latest comedians providing entertainment for the entire family. I've watched some of their videos that is posted on AmFam's website. Basically, the videos is base on the comedian's experience from their families. As individual, I can relate of what they are talking on their videos.
The video title "Respect" by Bill I like the most because it bring back memories. Back in the day, when my mom tell us be home on a certain time from visiting friends, we always make sure to be home at a given time. It does not mean that we are afraid being yelled, but it just shows having respect to them by listening and paying attention of what we were told. Another example, when we have visitors at home, we would make sure we don't interrupt their conversation and the kids would play in the room and not in the living room where the visitor at.
I appreciate that these videos are Stand Up for Family comedy shows where everyone can enjoy, because your kids can learn from the performer's previous experiences. These videos remind me of the importance of family. It also gives ideas for parents for good parenting. Because we know, the kids of today are different from the kids of yesterday. It needs good parenting skills to have good kids.

I have high speed satellite internet so I am able to pursue my ridiculous guilty pleasure of reading the on-line gossip rags everyday. I know that it is a totally silly thing to follow Hollywood gossip, but for some reason I just love it. I think that it is because of all of the reality television shows. I love to watch the Kardashians on their shows. They have had so many. First, it was “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, next it was “Kourtney and Khloe in Miami” , then “Courtney and Kim take New York”. All the gossip websites are always commenting on the Kardashians and I can follow all the gossip daily. I especially enjoyed all of the buzz around Kim Kardashian’s wedding recently when she married Kris Humphries ( a New Jersey Nets player). I loved to hear about every little detail. The wedding special and pictures were absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to see the next reality television and celebrity wedding! My husband thinks that I am so ridiculous talking about these people like they are my friends.

The genius and visionary man has died today after his battle of cancer. Steve Jobs was a former CEO of Apple. He resigned this year so he can rest. He helped the Apple Company to what it is today. His memory through his works remain forever. He invented the iPhone generations. Steve Jobs is a legend .

Moving to a new place is a decision you have to consider together with your family, because you might like your new place but you're not sure if your family would like it too. I was reading an article from Canada and one of the article talks about the best place to raise a family is Edmonton,Canada. I learned that Edmonton is a good place to settle in. They are known of its warm environment and peaceful neighborhood that you can call home. That's why many Canadians are recommending Edmonton apartments rentals as the place to stay. They are located along the North Saskatchewan River. Edmonton is the capital of the Canadian province of Alberta and is the province's second-largest city. They are known for its fascinating natural farmlands and prairies.
So if you are looking for apartment rentals at the Edmonton area, you can check online at RentEdmonton.com. It is a rental services online that will help you choose the best Edmonton house or apartment for rent. Whether you are looking for houses, apartments, condos, and town homes they have it all available for rent in that area. You can also make your search easier by sorting the price, number of bedrooms, and rental property type that would fit your needs.

I am so happy when I was able to afford to buy a new phone. It has been more two years since I bought a brand new cell phone. So last week I bought a new iPhone4 through AT&T. I got it in the mail couple days after. On my old phone, I can not listen whenever I wanted to. I had to use my computer to browse for music online. But with this high performance smart phone, I can now listen the best new music online for free. One of the website that I had browse is tweewoo. I find it very interesting because they have a variety of stations to choose from. They pretty much offer everything from 20 plus genres.
From listening at tweewoo, I heard different music from artist that I have not heard before from all over the world. Besides listening music for free, you can also watch music videos of your favorite artists, download free MP3 at tweewoo.
So if you want to listen free music online on your iPhone or Android phones, try tweewoo mobile to listen the best music from the most popular artist.
If you also have a band or are even a solo music artist looking to get discovered, then try Tweewoo. You will definitely get discovered by people who love your music.

I appreciate the guest post, Rodrigo Coffey
So I’ve been watching that new show on Bravo on my direcTV called Most Eligible Dallas and it’s just a hoot. I’m originally from Texas so it’s really fun for me to relate to these cartoonish people and the characters have the most absurd problems it makes me feel better about my own life. There was an episode on a few weeks ago where one of the “strong, independent” women got all weepy about not having a husband and kids after a few glasses of wine and I guess I should feel sorry for her but it’s hard when you watch and realize all these people are so incredibly shallow. I don’t really wish good things for them because I feel like they totally take advantage of everyone in their lives and they’re so selfish it’s ridiculous! I don’t know what it is about the big hair and country accents but I love this guilty pleasure show and hope this isn’t the one and only season of it since it’s really caught my eye.

Most of my co-workers are heavy smokers. But smoking is not allowed within 25 feet from the building because of health and safety issue. We know that it takes time and it can be hard to quit from smoking so most of the smokers that I knew are using alternatives. I know a few who used electronic cigarette as an alternative from real cigarettes. These E-cigar can be utilized without having the fear of harming other people around you through passive smoke.
According to people who smokes cigarettes e-cig performs just like a traditional cigarette because as they say it feels like, it looks like and it taste like a real cigarette. E-Cigarette help some people avoid real cigarettes. But it also helps smoker to quit from smoking. It is designed to deliver nicotine or other substances to the smoker in the form of a vapor.

We cannot deny that handling our finances is very hard especially on this tough economy. We may have friends or families to turn-in when tough times comes. But don't put the burden on them when payday cash advance can be a solution.
Cash Advance and payday loans are a good solution when the unexpected happens .On payday loan you can use whatever purposes you like and mostly for people who need emergency cash. Payday cash advance loans can help people deal with a financial crisis such as having to attend a funeral as the result of a death in the family, an unexpected car repair, or a medical emergency.
Whether you need money to pay your past due bills, shopping, car repair and even groceries. It is a short term loan where you can borrow a small amount of money to pay your bills if you are short before you paycheck come.
If you're worried because you have bad credit, cash advance loans does not require credit check, as long as you have a job and a personal checking or savings account where they directly deposited the amount to your account. Applying for cash advance and payday loan are much easier than applying for credit. Your pay check and your job are the only assurance of your loan.

In less than two months I will be going for vacation in the Philippines. I am happy and sad at the same time. Happy because I will be seeing my family back home after almost four years of not seeing them in person. Sad because, I will be away for a month without my hubby. I know I'm going to miss him. He would miss all the fun stuff. I wish he could take off from work without jeopardizing his job. In this economy where good paying is hard to find, we would not take any chance.
On my trip, I will be bringing two suitcases with me and a carry-on bag. I have been planning on this trip since early this year. So, I have been shopping for clearance clothes so I could bring along with me as presents to my family. I always keep an eye on Aeropostale's ads so every time they are on sale I always make sure I'll get the latest trend of the season without paying the whole amount. Right now, their Fall's hottest graphic tees are on 50% off. While they are on sale, I will be making a trip to their store to buy some tees for my sister and brother.

So, what did you do this last Labor Day weekend?
People celebrates Labor Day in different ways. For parents and kids who are coming back to school this Fall, Labor Day means the last day of summer or summer vacation is over. Most schools starts their classes the day after Labor Day which is Tuesday. For some, Labor Day is all about picnics and family get together.
For those who have Labor Day rest after working all year, be thankful to the workers or the unions that made this day a holiday. And for those who had to work this holiday in any circumstances, also be thankful to the labor movement which by laws requires all employers or companys to pay all workers a time-an-a-half for working holidays.

I am so glad that my incoming vacation was approved by our Director of Nursing. I understand that it is hard to find coverage while you are gone for vacation. As part of my work's policy we are required to request PTO not more than 6 months prior of the vacation starts. So last June I made a PTO request for a one month vacation so I could visit my family in the Philippines. On the request I put a note "visit Philippines". But it is not guaranteed to be approved unless you have itinerary of your trip. So as soon as I found the fare that meets my need, I made the reservation right away. The other day, I handed our scheduler my confirmed flight reservation which shows my name on it and the days that I would be gone. I was nervous at first because she told me that I should've ask for pre-approval first before making any reservation. But I heard from someone that if you make reservation already they have no choice but to approve your request especially when you'll be gone for long. In my situation, I had less to worry because I have more than enough vacation hours to cover plus another vacations hours I would accumulate while I'm gone. It would also shows on my records that I don't take too many vacations in one year.

The Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival started on July 29th and would run to August 7, 2011. It's a week of fantastic celebration, and tradition as Grand Haven and all over America honor the men and women of the United States Coast Guard.
Yesterday, we went to The Lakes Mall in Muskegon and we stopped by at my friends house in Grand Haven. I can tell it's a lot of traffic. Last year we witnessed the musical fireworks display during the Festival. It was very neat and entertaining. This year we won't be able to watch the fireworks display as I have work this weekend.

I have been in my current cell phone provider for quite a long time now. But every month I get my bill I always have a complain. That's why I had a nice talk to my husband about this issue. I have decided to switch to another provider and put it in my name since the current one is still in my husband's account. That way, I have the authority to do business if I have issue on my future cell phone provider.
I was reading about Straight Talk, and I love the idea that I would feel richer with Straight Talk because I could cut my cell phone bill in half. With Straight Talk I don't have to worry about any contracts and no surprise bills and I could call a friend any time I would want. They have this plan which called “All You Need Plan”. Basically, it's everything you need that meets even the needs of heavy phone users with 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data. Straight Talk also has Unlimited monthly service for only $45/month that includes text, picture messaging and web browsing.

So, I was watching "Today" show this morning and Jill Martin from Jill's Steals and Deals segment was there today. She had couple of deals for all the viewers including this 30 Second Smile Toothbrush and whitening system. This toothbrush has a retail price of $120, but for Todays deal the sale price is only $25. It's like 75% discount from the original price. So I was tempted to go online and bought one for myself. I used the discount code of TODAYSMILE . Plus the shipping fee of $9.95, I only ended up paying around $35 for the whole package.
The 30 Second Smile package includes:
The 30 Second Smile Unit
Designer Stand and Travel Case
Two Sets of Brushes (Ultra Soft and Standard)
Professional Tongue Scraper
Three Mouth Trays

Any time that it's hot outside, it's like a switch flips in my brain that makes me think about ice cream non stop. I'm not really sure why I have this fixation, but I've always kind of been like that. Well as an adult now, I have the resources to get that ice cream myself. But I also love to make ice cream at home too. If I have to go to that trouble to get it, I won't eat it nearly as often. I think that thinking works too!
Well I was thinking that I would try out a new special kind of ice cream, so I went online to try and find an exciting new recipe. As I was searching for one, I ran across the website www.MobileBroadband.com and as I looked through it some I decided to change over our internet service to the company. So I did.
Right after that I found a recipe for cheesecake ice cream, which I was so excited about that I fixed it immediately. It was just as good as it sounds like it would have been! That was a really great decision on my part, choosing to make some of that!

I've been here in United States for almost 6yrs and been living in Michigan the whole time. If I could remember, this has been the hottest summer here in Michigan. This whole week will be in the mid- 90's and could reach in 3 digits by the weekend. We don't have air conditioner in the house the whole time, but will be putting one anytime tomorrow. We have this high velocity blower fan that keeps the house cool plus the ceiling fans. But with the high temperature this coming days I think it's time to put our air conditioner. We just have to looked for it in the garbage where we stored the whole time since we moved in this place 3 summer ago.
I am used to the heat since I was born and grow up in the tropical country where the temperature could reached up to 100F. But summer in the Philippines is way different here. We had experienced drought when I was growing up where the soil is all cracked by dryness, where the water in the river dried and all the plants died. But despite the hotness, there's always breezed come from the ocean and from the air where it's fresh.

If everything goes well as plan, I am going for a one month vacation to Philippines to visit my family. It has been more than 3 yrs since I visited Philippines. I am have been shopping for airline tickets online. I found some good deals for one round trip ticket but have not decided what airline. My family lives in North Eastern Part of Mindanao so I have to fly from Manila to my hometown. Most international arrival time would be around 11pm or midnight so I have to stay in the hotel and catch another flight in the morning or the following day. So while I am searching for airline ticket I am also searching for affordable hotels near NAIA. I found several hotels but some are way too expensive for me. I have found one - Berjaya Manila Hotel- that charge $60 per night which is not bad compared to some which has a rate range of $100 or more. Berjaya is 4.37miles from the airport.

Working in the health care field is one of the most secured jobs. I've been working as a nurse assistant for five years now. On my five years, I've learned so many things. Dealing with residents could be very stressful mentally, specially when your dealing with residents who have dementia or Alzheimer's. There were ups and downs. There were times that I wanted to cry but most of the times they made me laugh and made my day. Working in a nursing home, you get to know the family of the residents. That's why I always make sure I present myself professionally by wearing medical nursing uniforms scrubs with my name badge so they would recognized me. I have so many sets of scrubs uniforms. Some of them are fashion scrubs that I bought online.
Last time I checked, I have more than ten medical scrub sets . I wear different sets every day. I am planning on buying two more sets when I get a chance. Good thing, that I can buy them online now on my convenient time. I just checked BlueSkyScrubs at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/ and I am considering on buying medical uniforms later. Besides scrubs uniforms, they also sell medical accessories and medical coats.

I have heard "rue21" before. I have visited their website couple times before just to browse what they had to offer. But, I have had not shopped in any of their outlet store because the nearest we have here is like an hour away from home. So, yesterday when we went to the nearest mall, I noticed the store right away after I got out from wet seal. I was convinced it wasn't there the last time we went to this mall last year and I was right. The cashier told my husband that it would be their 1st year on that mall next month (July), the day they opened.
So anyway, it was a right timing when we went their yesterday. They are on summer sale right now which most of their tops are only $3-$5 each. I bought couple tops for my size and my sister's size. Also I bought some accessories. I'm sure she would love them all. My husband also got himself 2 pair of jeans and couple of T-shirts for an affordable price.

Walgreens is only two blocks away from where I live. We shop there at least once a week. As a matter of fact we just went there yesterday to buy some groceries and for my husbands pain reliever medicine.
Around this time of the year when the weather changes I always get allergies. I'm glad I still have the over the counter medication that I bought from Walgreens late last year. The name is Wal-Fex Allergy . It's a 24-hr relief for allergy, itching, watery eyes and runny nose. It's one of Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products .This product has the same effect to any name brand products. But the Walgreens brand is way cheaper. That's why I refused to buy the name brands because it's way expensive.
It's also good to know that every purchase of a Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products helps bring preventive wellness services to local communities through the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™. Besides, Walgreens pharmacist always recommend the Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products allowing families and individuals to save money especially with the high cost of health care.
In this connection, several bloggers in the blogosphere are giving away some Walgreens Gift Cards. To join and a chance to win their giveaways, you have to leave a comment on a blog post about which Walgreens Brand Health &Wellness Products is your favorite. You might check this link http://socialspark.com/WalgreensBrandSweeps for all the details on how to join.

June 6--- My brother who is on his 3rd year on Physical Therapy has started their classes already for School year 2011-2012 at Davao Doctor's College, Philippines. It's another challenging year for him, for us and for the whole family when we're talking about tuition fees and another school expenses that may arises on the next couple days/months.
Sending someone to Physical Therapy School is very expensive. When he was enrolled on the end of May he was asked to provide 10,400 pesos for his enrollment fees so I had to wire him money so he could be enrolled. And now that he is officially enrolled and classes has officially started, there are 4 books that he needs to buy for the class. He told me that 4 books are only for the 4 subjects so meaning there are more books needed. He gave me the price tag of each book. One of them cost 5,000 pesos each and the rest are 2000-3000 pesos but not lesser than 1000pesos. I told him to buy the books next week as soon as I have the money. That's why I am working extra hours to pay all school expenses, not to mention my mom's medical exam for her visa, their board and lodging while they are in Manila, my sister's board review and so forth. I pray that God would give me strength and be healthy all the time.

So after we ate supper I took a nice cold shower so that my body temperature drop. And,wow! it was a relief. I didn't want to get out of the shower. And right now, I am eating crushed ice and have ice pack put on my neck, so it really helps eases the heat of the body.

Time really goes so fast. Because it's this time again that I have to renew my nurse aide certification. I thought I have another year to relax and don't worry about it. I know I have the wallet size certification with me that I carry in my wallet. I should've known when the registration expires. But I was surprised today when I got a renewal form in the mail from PROMETRIC. It will expire on 7/20/2011, so I have to give this form to my employer so they can fill out the information for employer verification and I will mail this before the expiration date. Renewal fee of $20 which is reimbursable is still the same 2 yrs ago.
Nurse Aide Certification is required when working in a skilled facility. It expires every two years so it needed to be renewed. If any CNA's who failed to renew their certification could lose their job.

Yay my guy won:)....
I've been watching Dancing with the Stars Season 12 from the very beginning. I did not have really a favorite celebrity dancer. But after couple weeks of the competition, Hines Ward and his pro-dancer partner Kym has been my favorite since. I did not know Hines before because I am not a softball fans. I only noticed him on DWTS especially on the last 4 weeks of the competition He improved every week with new moves. That's why I am very happy to learn that he is the new winner of DWTS for Season 12. Congrats Hines & Kym, I am your new fan:)

My family watches Mythbusters like addicts. Our satellite TV, that I got after seeing this Comparison of Cable and DirectTV, is always set on the Discovery Channel. I am proud of the fact that my family wants to learn so much, but I have a feeling they are mostly excited about the chance that Jamie and Adam will blow something up.
Though Mythbusters doesn't really answer every day questions that my children might ask, they do answer questions that I didn't know I wanted the answer to. A perfect example of this is the time that they checked to see if debris from a cannon ball being shot through a pi! rate ship really would kill someone. I never realized that I was wondering that very thing while watching the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movies.
These men used to be the stuntmen and stunt creators for movies. I imagine that work must have brought up quite a few unanswerable questions about the past that drove them crazy while trying to figure out how to make the stunt look real.
My favorite part of the show is that while Adam and Jamie are working on the “big” problem, their assistants, Tory, Kari and Grant are working on a smaller myth to bust. One of their myths was can a person really pass a lie detector test if they concentrated.
This is a good show to learn random knowledge.

It's Tulip Time Week here in Holland, Michigan. The celebration begun on the 7th which is after the Cinco de Mayo celebration and will end up on Saturday, the 14th. Tourist from all over the United States and even from all over the world especially Europe comes here in Holland every year to witness the celebration which is basically part of the history. They come here as part of their tradition to witness the celebration all week. Everyday, all day has different activities of all ages. Downtown Holland is all packed, you see people walking all over the places wearing their dutch costumes. So, with much going on here, the unstoppable traffic is very annoying so it's hard to find parking spaces good thing we live close to downtown where we could walk if we want to. This Friday afternoon, a friend of ours is coming over to join the rest of the Hollanders in celebrating Tulip Festival Week. We are planning on going to the historic dutch windmill or to the Farm to get some good pictures of Tulip flowers of different colors.

So it's this time of the year where we can plant spring plants in our garden for this season. So today, my husband used rototiller to cultivate the garden while I am following him raking the soil in order to have it ready for planting. We have unions that were in the garden already so I had it re-planted also. This weekend we are planning on going to the farmers market to buy some spring vegetables seedlings or plants so we can start growing veges on our own. Last night at work I was looking on catalog for plants and I was so interested of so many of vegetables that we did not get the chance to grow last year. I told my husband that we will try another variety of plants/veges that we could grow in the garden. I am planning also on ordering online from the catalog that I've seen. I just also came to realized that all veges grows on summer alone which make sense to me. I have stalks of spinach that I bought from asian store and I'm planning on planting them once it has roots already. I know spinach grow on seeds here but where I grew up we plant the stalks or the stem. Anyways, I'm getting excited to have the garden planted with different kinds of veges.

So after the original voiced behind Aflac's commercial was fired, the insurance company hired a new one. Daniel McKeague is now the new Aflac Duck's new voice. He auditioned together with 12,500 other contestants to replace actor Gilbert Gottfried . According to the report, "Gottfried voiced Aflac's duck for U.S. audiences for 11 years but was ousted in March after making insensitive remarks on Twitter about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, which produces about 75 percent of Aflac's revenue."

There are days of the month that I like to go out going to the mall shopping looking for good deals or just simply window shopping. That only happens if I have extra money on my budget. This month I am so glad that it's summer in the Philippines, meaning no schools for my brother so there would be no school expenses so I am able to saved and will be able to until next month. But, by June my obligation starts again. My brother has books to purchase by the first week of June which would cost us $300 or so. Of course that is not included for his enrollment and school supplies. By July,my sister would have her Review taken. She told me that it's going to be $450 the registration fee. Plus their board and lodging so I am talking about $1000 in the next couple months. I have had been saving up because I know it's gonna come and it's going to be me who will take the responsibility. I don't mind spending money for them as long as they are attending school faithfully. So with that being said I am tight on my budget right now and can no longer afford shopping next month. So I need to stop looking for store ads so I don't see what they have on sale. Sometime I felt that clothings stores just trick you on there ads when they have a 50% or a buy 1 get 1 half off and when you go to their store there are exclusions on their sales. Sometimes you ended up buying the things that you don't necessarily needs.
If, by chance, I might be buying at consignment store or eBay. It might be pre-owned but at least I am buying a good quality materials in an affordable amount.

So yesterday I sat down in front of the computer trying to relax after doing some yard work and enjoying the nice weather outside. But I realized that every time I'm on the computer I always browse either facebook, blogger, my email, visajourney and uscis websites. I felt like I have an OCD or an obsession of those sites as I can't help it even I get same information everyday. So I tried to be different yesterday. So I went to eBay and did some browsing. I was searching for a specific brand of jeans which is the 7 for all man kind. This brand is really expensive when you buy them brand new. I would not buy a $100plus a pair of jeans myself so I was being smart to look in eBay. And I found a pair that I like on an affordable price.Actually I found 2 jeans. I bid both 2 and ended up winning them both. Wow, I can't believed I purchased them right away. I did not expect to found the jeans that I've been looking. Glad they both accept Paypal for payment so it was so much easier. The transaction were very smooth and will be expecting both packages on the mail later this week. I hope they both fit me right. Well see, but if not I might sell back to eBay or give to my mom :).

Recycling aluminum cans is easy and makes a huge difference in the environment. I have read a section of our local prepare promoting green environment. According to Earth911,one wasted can is equal to a half can's worth of wasted gasline. And a recycled can is back on the shelves in as little as 60 days. Making new cans from recycled cans requires 95percent less energy than makiong them from scratch, so don't let your soda can end up in the landfill.

Spring is here so it's getting nicer out. Yesterday was on it's 50's here in west Michigan. I heard that it's gonna be on the 60's this Wednesday. I can't wait when it's not cold anymore so we can start cleaning the yard and start with our garden. I am also looking forward on a bike riding with hubby when the weather is a little bit warmer. So many plan ahead of us, hopefully we could take the same days off so we could do things together this spring and summer.

So last week, Casey was saved by the judges after America voted him off. It was unfair for the rest of the contestant and is not fair for people who do not like him. So last night, American Idol eliminated 2 contestants. Thia and Naima went home last night after getting the lower votes from Monday's performance.

I remember when Leo Echegaray, the first Filipino to be meted the death penalty (by lethal injection) in 1999 after its reinsatement in the Philippines in 1993, and 23 years after the last execution was carried out under Philippine law. I was in College when it happened. But the Philippine government abolished the death penalty because it's against the morality of the Christian belief.
Now, the China government executed 3 Filipinos on Wednesday(Phil time) after they were found guilty of drug trafficking. I believed that they were just victims who were being used by the drug lords or international crime syndicates to carry drugs that why they were caught with the possession of illegal drugs. In my opinion, I duly respect the decision of the Chinese govt. because it's their judicial process and we should respect all that. But, I also hope that those drug lords will be caught and be brought to justice.

So, I came across a news this morning on yahoo which I couldn't believed. An Ohio man got a $16.4 million cable bill. He found it out when he attempt to make a payment on his cable bill to Time Warner and was rejected and he learned that the company had calculated his past-due amount at more than $16 million. Wow that way too much. Even" Brangelina" would not have that amount of cable bill, I believe. But, yeah according to the cable company, it was a computer billing glitches and I guess it's one of many computerized billing glitches now a days.

My sister have checked a couple of review center for her nursing board exam this December. Since my brother is in Davao already she is going to have her review there and they're gonna stay in the same apartment together that way we don't pay another rent. The review would probably cost 20thousand pesos. I'm not sure if that includes the books and other things. Another expenses that needs to be added on my budget. I hope I will have the money by July or before since the review will start on July and will end up by September.

Last year, I have been receiving countless of pre-approved credit cards in the mail from different company . I called it junk mails because it' gives no good to me as I have enough credit card that I have to deal with every month.
There are Pre-approved credit cards for bad credit also so not only for those who have good credit can get these kind of offer. But you got to pay attention of all the hidden charges they have. If you get this offer in the mail, meaning you are guaranteed to be approved once you contact them back.Pre-approved credit cards for bad credit are definitely a form of borrowing that can involve hefty charges.

As we discussed in my previous post, I own a scented candle store in Nantucket. It’s been my life’s passion to work for myself and I’m actually living my dream! A few years back, my business partner finally convinced me to spring for the cost of a website and I’m sure glad I did. The site’s been live for some time now, highlighting our best selling products and lending crucial information about the store like hours and directions. I’ve even been thinking about hosting a web version of my candle making class! One of the things we’re considering adding to the site is an e-commerce function. Currently, customers can’t actually purchase our candles online, but I’ve had several vacationers tell me they wish they didn’t have to wait until next year’s trip to restock their candle collection. We’re in talks with a developer to see how much the commerce creation will cost, but I think it will be worth it. There’s far more customers to be gained nationwide than there are here in Nantucket!

My 2yr contract with AT&T is up already. So anytime,I can upgrade and get another phone with another 2yr activation contract. I am thinking of getting an iPhone. But I heard that the new iPhone5 is coming out around June or July so I might wait that time so I could get the new iPhone. At the same time I am thinking of getting the new iPod Touch. My friend had one. For me, they are both cool.iPod does not need a service provider like AT&T because it has an unlimited access with WIFI as long as you are within the range. But you can't browse when you are in your car travelling. Well, you can't browse while driving anyway. So iPod might be a good one. Uh! I forgot to mention that you can't make phone calls with iPod like iPhone does so iPhone is still good. But I don't wanna pay and deal with the service provider. If I'll go with iPod, I'll save an estimated $840 a year or more based on what I am paying right now
for an unlimited internet browsing, unlimited text & picture messages with unlimited instant messaging, unlimited local and long distance calls.
Now, I have to decide which one is the best for me. It would be nice for iPod Touch if you can make phone calls so I don't have to carry a phone with me.
We'll I have not decided yet. If you know the advantages and disadvantages of the two,pls leave me a comment. I need your expertise on this matter.
P.S- I have an 8GB iPod Nano(the old one) with no WIFI and other features like the iPod Touch. It is solely for storing songs and videos. But I only have 50 songs on it since it's expensive to download songs from iTunes.

This Motorola's Xoom is the best non-iPad tablet so far. But it helps illustrate just how far ahead of its rivals Apple remains. It is Motorola's first entry into the rapidly expanding world of touchscreen tablets. The Xoom's software includes some other nice touches. Many of its built-in apps, such as its e-mail program and e-reader, have been designed to take advantage of its big screen.

I forgot we have a $25 Gift Card for Chili's Restaurant which I got from the rewards points I acquired from Chase. I have saved my points for so long so I decided to claimed before it expire. Because I believed couple years ago my points expired because I did not pay attention and I thought Chase would charge if if I decided to claim redeem my points. But I was wrong, that's why I'm getting smarter. We're gonna use this $25 gift card next time we're going to dine in at Chili's Restaurant. I only went their once with my hubby because I found it very expensive and there's no way I could spend that amount all the time.

We know eating fruits is good for our health. But fruits can be so expensive especially when you buy them off season. When I was a kid we eat a lot of grape fruit. My great-grandparents which was our neighbor had grape fruit that grew on their yard which also part of our yard. So we ate grape fruit almost everyday. Our grape fruit back in the Philippines is big. So when I got here in the US 5 yrs ago I keep looking for it every time we went to the supermarket. But I couldn't find any until 2yrs ago when I finally asked my husband about it. He told me that we have it here too. So he showed it to me and I was surprised to see that it wasn't big as I expected. We bought a bag and tried one when we got home. And yes he was right. The taste is a little bit bitter unlike my grandparents which was very sweet. But I was happy to eat grape fruit again after couple years of not having it. Now I eat grape fruit like there's no tomorrow :)
Anyway, when I tried to Google the health benefits of grape fruit, I was surprised to find out that it has a lot of health benefits that comes with the fruit by eating naturally. I learned that it can help in weight loss, since it is low in sodium, high in fat burning enzymes. Also, Grapefruit is very helpful in removing or dissolving inorganic calcium which may have formed in the cartilage of the joints. To read more of the health benefits of Grape Fruits, you can read it here.

So yesterday,a day after Valentine's Day, all Valentines stuff are half off. So, me and my husband went to couple of stores yesterday to find some great deal. We bought couple bags of chocolates, stuff toys, kitchenware for Valentines. All of them were 50% off. All the chocolates are going to be included in my balikbayan box to be shipped in the Philippines in a couple of months. The stuff toys that I bought were a good deal. I'm going to give one to my sister and will be keeping the bigger one for myself.
Shopping after holiday is always a good idea. It has been our tradition because that way we can save some.

My car is retiring on me. I bought it used 2yrs ago. And now, I definitely need a brand new car. Though I have no plan on buying a car this year, I have been shopping online and on paper. I've been researching on what to expect on buying a brand new car. Before I decide to get one, I have to know what my credit score is. One article I read that interest rates depends on your credit history and your credit score. So, since I have just started building my credit four years ago, I have to wait a couple of year to get a car loan. I also have to pay off my existing credit cards which can take me I guess another year. So by the time I paid them off, my credit score would look good.

It's gonna be tonight. I'm very excited to see our Fil-Am friends again. It's been a month since the last time I was able to join our get-togethers. Tonight would be the perfect night. It's going to be a Valentine Dinner group. Everyone that are able to join are very excited. Not to mention the good food we're going to have. We will be eating at the Seafood restaurant in Grand Rapids. I heard that it's a fantastic restaurant. But it's a little bit expensive but it's only once so we just don't think about the money.

Valentines' is a week away. Any ideas for a valentines day gift for your husband? I know selecting a perfect gift is a difficult task. It could be harder but if you planned ahead it might be easier to choose. I am thinking of giving my husband a sweater of his favorite brand. He likes dark chocolate so I might buy him his favorite one kind. Anyway, it's deciding what to give your man this Valentine's Day is a hard task. Considering the many valentines day gift ideas for men widely available, picking the best is a battle.

It's almost 11pm EST blogging just after the Super Bowl XVL craziness. So who is the new Go Daddy Girl. First she was headless and have a nice body. It was a buzz everywhere wondering who could be the new Go Daddy Girl endorser. Well, it was first revealed at the Super Bowl XVL commercial during it's 2nd half with Danica Patrick and Michael Jillians. And I was shocked to see her. I thought that could be another "young" model. But it's
Joan Rivers, a comedian and once had a show called "Fashion Police" on E..

So I'm going to cook for dinner and we're having meatballs. We bought a bag of frozen meatballs the day before the snow storm or the "blizzard of 2011". I was thinking of cooking it on Wednesday but I didn't have time. So I am going to cook it today. With that, I will mix some barbecue sauce, ketchup and brown sugar on a crock pot as my sauce. And leave it slow cook until the sauce becomes sticky to the meat. It would be my first time cooking meatballs but not my first time eating.

So it was the worst snow blizzard we had(2/2/11) here in Michigan. Roads were blocked, some stores were closed, schools were closed but as an employee taking care of the sick we had to work plus we stayed over in the morning since the day shift could not make it to work. And when I got home around noon, the road going to our house were blocked because the snow plow truck did the main road first "as usual". Good thing my co-worker(my neighbor who gave me the ride) drove her 2wheel drive truck so we were able to make it . Files and files of snow were dumped by the side of the road near our house. My hubby hired the snow plow guy for $20 to have our driveway plowed because there was no way he could do it with his snow blower.
When I got up from sleep after 5 hrs I went outside to take some pictures and it's nice to "see sunshine after a storm", it was beautiful.

It was forecast yesterday that storm is on our way starting Monday night until Wednesday. And we could get more than 3 inches of snow. In fact as of this moment (Monday 4am ET) the storm started already. It's windy and blizzard outside. So part of our storm preparation we're gonna stop at the store from work in the morning to get couple of groceries that would last a week for me and my husband.
My grocery lists includes 3packs of Aqaufina water . It's on sale right now so we're getting the limit of 3.
Then 2 or 3 dozens of eggs since we used a lot of eggs.
Next on my list is 3 gallons of milk since my husband drink a lot of milk everyday.
I might have buy couple bags of salads, fruits and couple of canned goods.
Couple loafs of bread, butter and cheese are in my list too.
We still have meat in the freezer so we might escape right now.
Hopefully we can make it to the store without having any problem. I'm glad we don't live in the country anymore because before we always get stranded in our house during bad weather. We'll I'm still praying that the road is not going to be bad this couple of days as we have to work every night.
