Thia Megia, Eliminated on AI

So last week, Casey was saved by the judges after America voted him off. It was unfair for the rest of the contestant and is not fair for people who do not like him. So last night, American Idol eliminated 2 contestants. Thia and Naima went home last night after getting the lower votes from Monday's performance.

3 Filipinos Executed in China

I remember when Leo Echegaray, the first Filipino to be meted the death penalty (by lethal injection) in 1999 after its reinsatement in the Philippines in 1993, and 23 years after the last execution was carried out under Philippine law. I was in College when it happened. But the Philippine government abolished the death penalty because it's against the morality of the Christian belief.

Now, the China government executed 3 Filipinos on Wednesday(Phil time) after they were found guilty of drug trafficking. I believed that they were just victims who were being used by the drug lords or international crime syndicates to carry drugs that why they were caught with the possession of illegal drugs. In my opinion, I duly respect the decision of the Chinese govt. because it's their judicial process and we should respect all that. But, I also hope that those drug lords will be caught and be brought to justice.

$16.4 million cable bill?

So, I came across a news this morning on yahoo which I couldn't believed. An Ohio man got a $16.4 million cable bill. He found it out when he attempt to make a payment on his cable bill to Time Warner and was rejected and he learned that the company had calculated his past-due amount at more than $16 million. Wow that way too much. Even" Brangelina" would not have that amount of cable bill, I believe. But, yeah according to the cable company, it was a computer billing glitches and I guess it's one of many computerized billing glitches now a days.

Board Review Expenses

My sister have checked a couple of review center for her nursing board exam this December. Since my brother is in Davao already she is going to have her review there and they're gonna stay in the same apartment together that way we don't pay another rent. The review would probably cost 20thousand pesos. I'm not sure if that includes the books and other things. Another expenses that needs to be added on my budget. I hope I will have the money by July or before since the review will start on July and will end up by September.

Pre-Approved Credit Cards

Last year, I have been receiving countless of pre-approved credit cards in the mail from different company . I called it junk mails because it' gives no good to me as I have enough credit card that I have to deal with every month.
There are Pre-approved credit cards for bad credit also so not only for those who have good credit can get these kind of offer. But you got to pay attention of all the hidden charges they have. If you get this offer in the mail, meaning you are guaranteed to be approved once you contact them back.Pre-approved credit cards for bad credit are definitely a form of borrowing that can involve hefty charges.

Candle Company goes Nationwide

Guest written by our friend Mason Abbott

As we discussed in my previous post, I own a scented candle store in Nantucket. It’s been my life’s passion to work for myself and I’m actually living my dream! A few years back, my business partner finally convinced me to spring for the cost of a website and I’m sure glad I did. The site’s been live for some time now, highlighting our best selling products and lending crucial information about the store like hours and directions. I’ve even been thinking about hosting a web version of my candle making class! One of the things we’re considering adding to the site is an e-commerce function. Currently, customers can’t actually purchase our candles online, but I’ve had several vacationers tell me they wish they didn’t have to wait until next year’s trip to restock their candle collection. We’re in talks with a developer to see how much the commerce creation will cost, but I think it will be worth it. There’s far more customers to be gained nationwide than there are here in Nantucket!

iPod or iPhone?

My 2yr contract with AT&T is up already. So anytime,I can upgrade and get another phone with another 2yr activation contract. I am thinking of getting an iPhone. But I heard that the new iPhone5 is coming out around June or July so I might wait that time so I could get the new iPhone. At the same time I am thinking of getting the new iPod Touch. My friend had one. For me, they are both cool.iPod does not need a service provider like AT&T because it has an unlimited access with WIFI as long as you are within the range. But you can't browse when you are in your car travelling. Well, you can't browse while driving anyway. So iPod might be a good one. Uh! I forgot to mention that you can't make phone calls with iPod like iPhone does so iPhone is still good. But I don't wanna pay and deal with the service provider. If I'll go with iPod, I'll save an estimated $840 a year or more based on what I am paying right now
for an unlimited internet browsing, unlimited text & picture messages with unlimited instant messaging, unlimited local and long distance calls.
Now, I have to decide which one is the best for me. It would be nice for iPod Touch if you can make phone calls so I don't have to carry a phone with me.
We'll I have not decided yet. If you know the advantages and disadvantages of the two,pls leave me a comment. I need your expertise on this matter.

P.S- I have an 8GB iPod Nano(the old one) with no WIFI and other features like the iPod Touch. It is solely for storing songs and videos. But I only have 50 songs on it since it's expensive to download songs from iTunes.

Motorola Xoom Tablet

This Motorola's Xoom is the best non-iPad tablet so far. But it helps illustrate just how far ahead of its rivals Apple remains. It is Motorola's first entry into the rapidly expanding world of touchscreen tablets. The Xoom's software includes some other nice touches. Many of its built-in apps, such as its e-mail program and e-reader, have been designed to take advantage of its big screen.

It is named after Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland. It is also a national holiday in Ireland.

"CHILIS" $25 Gift Card

I forgot we have a $25 Gift Card for Chili's Restaurant which I got from the rewards points I acquired from Chase. I have saved my points for so long so I decided to claimed before it expire. Because I believed couple years ago my points expired because I did not pay attention and I thought Chase would charge if if I decided to claim redeem my points. But I was wrong, that's why I'm getting smarter. We're gonna use this $25 gift card next time we're going to dine in at Chili's Restaurant. I only went their once with my hubby because I found it very expensive and there's no way I could spend that amount all the time.
