Show Your Support for Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As we know Walgreens and Express Scripts  are no longer "partners" on business. As of Jan 1, 2012, Express Scripts is no longer Walgreens' network provider when they decided not to renew their contact with Walgreens when it expires on Dec 31, 2011. So this moved has affected thousands of customers across the country. Click here on the press release for Wagreens-Express Scripts Program.

As far as I know, Walgreens is the only pharmacy that offers 24 hour and drive-thru pharmacy service. So patients who are affected of this mess have to drive farther to get their prescription filled or have to wait next day when their new pharmacy open. Patients have forced to leave Walgreens in order to use their in-network coverage. TRICARE (a health care program of the United States Department of Defense Military Health System) members are also affected of this dispute when Express Scripts' rejected Walgreens offer to contract separately for Tricare so now military members and it's beneficiaries are also affected of this mess.

But the good news is Walgreens wants to help by offering a special discount on  Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens . For only $5 individual membership you would be able to save on thousands on brand names and generic names. Plus you get discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies.

As Walgreens customers, let's show our support by contacting our local media by expressing our dissatisfaction. Also, follow Walgreens on Twitter and like Walgreens on Facebook   to show  them that we are loyal customers.
